About the scholarship
Swinburne University of Technology is committed to improving the educational outcomes of care experienced students - students who have experienced formal ‘out-of-home care’ (e.g. foster care, kindship, residential or permanent care). We offer a number of Care Leaver Bursaries to help students achieve their academic goals.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Applicants must be:
- an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident
- have spent time in formal 'out of home care' in Australia. (e.g. foster care, kindship, residential or permanent care).
Applicants must be:
- enrolled in a vocational education (VE) course full-time or part-time.
Applications will be assessed based on having been in formal out of home care (e.g. foster care, kindship, residential or permanent care).

Provide evidence of having spent time in out of home care (for example a letter from Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, Child Protection Services)
