About the scholarship

Summary

The Freemasons Foundation Victoria Scholarship supports two commencing undergraduate or VET students facing educational disadvantage who also contribute to their community.

Freemasons Foundation Victoria, trustee of two major charitable trusts, has awarded over $1.9 million in scholarships since 2014 to help Victorian youth achieve their education goals. Guided by values of character, charity, and generosity, the Foundation proudly partners with Swinburne to make higher education accessible.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

Applicants must be:

  • an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident.
Enrolment criteria

Applicants must be:

  • a commencing first year Swinburne student in Semester 1, 2027
    (preference given to Year 12 school leavers)
  • enrolled full-time in any Swinburne undergraduate degree or vocational education (VE) course
  • studying on-campus or online.
Selection criteria

Applications will be assessed based on educational disadvantage and community involvement.

Community service

Provide evidence of community and/or leadership experience such as through volunteering, sports coaching or community service.

Written references
Provide a written reference from a teacher, community leader, or employer. Note: referees cannot be a family member or friend.
