About the scholarship
Access Scholarships (VTAC) support future Swinburne undergraduate students from low socioeconomic backgrounds to start and succeed at university.
The scholarship provides multi‑year financial support to help ease study and living costs, allowing you to focus on your studies.
All applicants who receive an offer from Swinburne and have completed the VTAC Equity Schemes (SEAS) and Scholarship Application Form will automatically be assessed for this scholarship.
It applies across Swinburne’s on‑campus undergraduate courses, with funding paid in instalments over the standard course duration, subject to continued enrolment.
Value details
- The first year payment amounts to $5,500, which consists of a $500 one-off commencement payment and the yearly $5,000 amount
- Funds are paid no later than Week 1 of each semester for up to 3 years.
Eligibility and selection criteria
Applicants must be:
- an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa.
- a commencing first year Swinburne student in Semester 1, 2027
- enrolled full-time or part-time in any Swinburne undergraduate course
- studying on campus.
Applications will be assessed based on educational disadvantage.
