Results and Grade Point Average (GPA)
The university is committed to supporting students through their studies throughout the COVID-19 situation.
We understand the current circumstances will provide additional challenges for many students. We want to minimise the impact on our students, so higher education students who fail this semester will not have their fail grades recorded on their academic transcript, and any fail grades this semester will not have an impact on their grade point average (GPA). There will be no change to how we publish other pass grades. This arrangement applies to results for all studies completed at Swinburne teaching locations during teaching periods or semesters that have transitioned to online delivery due to COVID-19.
These measures ensure that Swinburne's academic standards are maintained whilst helping students who have their studies disrupted by the COVID-19 situation.
Read our answers to FAQs about results for units affected by the current COVID-19 situation.
