General Information
Overview
The Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation focuses on developing the skills to start new ventures, or to lead entrepreneurial initiatives within organisations. You’ll learn to disrupt through innovative initiatives, while learning entrepreneurial theories, models and methods via a practical approach.

Study structure
To qualify for the award of Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, students must complete 16 units (200 credit points).
Full-time study: 100 credit points/eight standard units of study per year
Part-time study: 50 credit points/four standard units of study per year
One credit point is equivalent to one hour of study per week per semester (including contact hours and private study)

Aims and objectives
At completion of the Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, graduates will be able to:
- apply coherent and advanced knowledge of entrepreneurship and innovation concepts in diverse contexts and applications using critical thinking
- apply problem solving, design and decision making methodologies to identify and provide innovative solutions to complex problems with intellectual independence
- communicate proficiently in professional practice to a variety of audiences, function as an effective member or leader of a team, and use advanced tools and practices of entrepreneurship within project work
- demonstrate professionalism, integrity, ethical conduct, professional accountability and a deep awareness of professional practices in a global and sustainable context
- apply entrepreneurship fundamentals to the analysis, design and operation of a business model using appropriate entrepreneurship and innovation methods and tools, applied in a variety of contexts
- reflect on, and take responsibility for, learning and self-management processes
apply knowledge of research principles and methods to plan and execute a piece of research with some independence.
Career opportunities
Graduates learn the skills to successfully start and/or develop new enterprises, and to enhance career development within organisations. Possible roles include entrepreneurs, team players, general managers and dynamic public servants.
Professional recognition
Graduates who hold an accounting qualification from a recognised overseas university or equivalent, upon successful completion of the Graduate Diploma of Professional Accounting, may be eligible to apply for Associate membership of CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ).
Maximum Academic Credit
The maximum level of credit that can be granted for the Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation is 100 credit points (normally 8 units). The exception to this rule is for students entering with a Graduate Diploma of Entrepreneurship and Innovation who may be granted up to 125 credit points of advanced standing (normally ten units).
