Executive Coaching Program
The Executive Coaching Program provides you the unique skills to become an executive coach and be able to immediately apply their coaching skills in the workforce. Participants in the Executive Coaching Program can create a coaching culture, strategically developing the leadership team to excellence.
The Executive Coaching Program has been designed to meet the needs of professionals who may seek accreditation with the International Coach Federation (ICF) which is the premium international professional body for coaches.
This course focuses on real world, relevant global contexts. It is a practical program with projects and assignments you can integrate into your existing role or organisation. Undergoing the program gives you skills and tools you can use immediately and encourages you to think differently. Additionally, the course is fully aligns to future trends in coaching capabilities.

Swinburne Live Online Short Courses and Qualifications
Our Live Online training is delivered to you live, providing similar interactions as face to face training with the benefits of remote access. The training is delivered through video conferencing and discussion board platforms. Workshops are broken into interactive video sessions, including presentations and distribution of materials and discussion board based activities.

Course structure
The Executive Coaching Program consists of two core units of the Graduate Certificate in Organisational Coaching program.
Participants receive two units credit towards the Graduate Certificate in Organisational Coaching.
Course delivery
Live Online
Live Online delivery is just like face to face but with the added benefits of digital technology. Your facilitator will present in real-time, and you will be able to participate in group discussions and collaborate on exercises and group activities using our interactive platforms.
Assessment
Students will be given six weeks to complete their assessment(s) and will submit assessments online via Swinburne’s e-Learning system, Canvas.
Assessor Guidance Session
Each unit of the program embeds a personalised guidance session tailored to the learner’s needs. This key checkpoint in the blended framework provides the opportunity to clarify understanding, ask questions, and ensures learners are on track for successful course completion.
Workplace delivery
This course (or units from it) can be tailored to industry delivery within the workplace for groups of eight or more students. Students may enrol in the course at any stage during the year. Students have the chance to select from a range of dates for elective units to determine the duration of their course.
Learning objectives
- Learn the difference between coaching, consulting and mentoring, and how to design coaching sessions.
- Learn how to establish trust, manage progress and accountability, overcome resistance, and lead focus sessions for success.
- Develop skills to create coaching programs and interventions.
- Determine the coaching needs for both an organisation and a worker.
- Establish the coaching agreement and evaluate the coaching outcomes based on the parameters set in the agreement.
Benefits
Accreditation
The Executive Coach Program has been designed to meet the needs of professionals who may seek accreditation with the International Coach Federation (ICF) which is the premium international professional body for coaches.
This program has been approved with 87.5 coach-specific training hours and qualifies for ICF Approved Coaching Specific Training Hours (ACSTH) and Continuing Coach Education (CCE) hours for ICF certification. This also provides a pathway to the full Accredited Coaching Training Program (ACTP).
The Executive Coach Program constitutes two of the four units required for the Graduate Certificate in Organisational Coaching which has been approved with 135 coach-specific training hours by the ICF.
ACTP programs are approved by the ICF because they align with the ICF Core Competencies and ICF Code of Ethics and count toward the coach training requirements of ICF certification.
The program has been specifically written to meet the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics.
