Unit learning outcomes

On successful completion of this unit students will be able to:

  1. Critically review and apply the principles of business, management and leadership within a sports physiotherapy context
  2. Appraise the legal ramifications of practice within sports physiotherapy context including relevant professional and ethical codes, standards of practice, and legal and industrial requirements governing practice
  3. Elaborate on the broader role of a sports physiotherapist within a multidisciplinary team including as an educator, communicator and advocate
  4. Reflect on learning needs of an advanced practitioner and the potential role of the different professional development strategies
