Swinburne researchers contribute to nearly $20 million in ARC-funded projects
In summary
- Swinburne researchers are contributing to three Australian Research Council (ARC) Industrial Transformation Training Centres and one Research Hub
- The four externally led projects represent nearly $20 million in combined project funding
- The projects span robotics and AI, responsible technology adoption, sustainable design and infrastructure
Swinburne researchers are contributing to four successful projects in the latest Australian Research Council (ARC) Industrial Transformation Research Program, representing nearly $20 million in combined project funding.
The projects bring together expertise across robotics and artificial intelligence, engineering and infrastructure, architecture and design, sustainability, and responsible technology adoption.
Swinburne’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research, Professor Karen Hapgood, said the results demonstrate the breadth of research expertise across the university.
“These projects demonstrate the strength of Swinburne’s collaborative approach to research and our ability to bring diverse expertise together with industry and research partners,” Professor Hapgood said.
“Through these partnerships, our researchers are tackling real-world challenges, accelerating innovation and creating transformative impact for the betterment of society.”
The four projects will bring together researchers from Swinburne and partner universities to address challenges across emerging technologies, sustainable design and strategic infrastructure.
Together, these projects highlight Swinburne researchers’ contributions to collaborative research across multiple disciplines. The funding will support partnerships that bring research expertise together to address challenges facing industry and society.
