Congratulations on your offer!
We are thrilled to welcome you to our Swinburne community and get you prepared for an incredible student experience. University is an adventure and we're here to support you every step of the way.
Welcome from our Vice-Chancellor
Watch a welcome message from our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Linda Kristjanson AO, and find out how we prepare you for career success.
Starting university is an exciting time. We'll help you get your study experience off to the right start with Orientation.
Orientation is the best place to get a sense of what the next few years could look like, so we encourage you to participate in as many activities as you can.
It's also an opportunity to socialise and meet like-minded people, get advice from current students and staff, and familiarise yourself with our campus.
Work integrated learning
Prepare for a fulfilling career while studying at uni. Get authentic workplace experience before you graduate. Choose from professional degrees, work placements, internships, industry-linked projects, study tours and more.
Strategies for success
Strategies for Success is a series of special multi-day workshops offered as part of Orientation each semester. These workshops help clarify what to expect at Swinburne and then give you strategies to succeed while you're here, including how to improve your results and boost your confidence.
Plus, it's a great way to make new friends before your classes start.
