The course is oriented towards applications in areas such as defence, aerospace and medicine, where complex software plays a major role and often of a safety-critical nature; as well as in businesses that require extensive computer support, such as banking and manufacturing.

Courses that are taught entirely online are only available to international students studying outside Australia or those in Australia who are not on a student visa.
