Living and working with emerging technologies

Uncovering the social implications of emerging technologies.

The Living and working with emerging technologies program examines the social implications of emerging technologies in the public and private domains.

Led by Dr Enda Crossin, the program team is focused on:

  • trust in, and the social licence to operate, emerging technologies in the public domain (e.g., robotics in the workplace, autonomous vehicles on public roads).
  • virtual reality (VR) in health, wellbeing and aged care (e.g. using VR as tool to improve the quality of life of people experiencing a decline in memory or other thinking skills).

Partners in this theme include the Centre for Design Innovation, the Intelligent Transport Systems Lab and the Centre for the New Workforce.
