Overview
This unit covers the prescription, delivery, adaptation, and evaluation of safe and effective evidence-based movement, physical activity, exercise, and strength and conditioning interventions to optimise health status, function, recovery, independence, and participation across the full health spectrum.

Unit learning outcomes
On successful completion of this unit students will be able to:
- Apply advanced knowledge of exercise physiology, motor control and strength and conditioning principles to the assessment, management and prevention of sport and exercise related conditions
- Design, implement and review conditioning, training programs to improve athletic performance
- Select and use appropriate modes of communication to transmit evidence-based knowledge to specialist and non-specialist audiences to inform, motivate and effect change at the individual, and community level.
- Apply advanced knowledge of exercise physiology, motor control and exercise prescription to analyse and develop exercise-based solutions for clients across diverse population groups, including age-related, cultural, gender-diverse and in various extreme environmental contexts such as thermal, stress and variable training conditions.
- Critically review and apply best practice in health promotion with a focus on physical activity and exercise behaviours across all individuals and population groups
