Overview
This unit aims to introduce educators to outcomes-based educational approaches by exploring the development and use of unit learning outcomes; support the design of inclusive and engaging learning activities using a variety of digital media and universal design principles; and promote the evaluation of learning activities to ensure alignment with curriculum components and support ethical, evidence-based curriculum renewal.

Unit learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
- Articulate the key elements of course design to demonstrate understanding of how these components support student learning
- Review and redesign learning activities that promote student engagement across diverse cohorts
- Justify diverse pedagogical approaches and delivery modes utilising appropriate strategies and digital technologies
- Critically examine and reflect on teaching philosophy and evidence-based teaching to inform decision making on practice
