Overview

This unit will develop understanding of the role, responsibilities and scope of practice of a registered nurse in Australia. Students will be guided through the preparation and process for job applications. From a strengths-based perspective, students will be prepared for the challenges and expectations of a registered nurse.

Hurdle

As the minimum requirements of assessment to pass a unit and meet all ULOs to a minimum standard, an undergraduate student must have achieved:

You must gain an aggregate mark of 50% or more. Conceded passes are not recognised by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council therefore conceded passes will not be granted.Tutorials and simulation have an 80% attendance requirement as per the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council.
