Overview

Students will develop a broad understanding of medium scale projects, design methods, and appropriate techniques of communication via 2D representation via drafting methods and 3D modelling. Students will apply knowledge of structures and sustainability along with an ability to display design intentions and verbalise outcomes. There will be a general understanding of the broad benchmarks of architectural history and theories of colour and design and planning data.

  • Apply basic knowledge of materials, forms, and technology in the design context
  • Demonstrate simple construction knowledge related to the 3D designs

  • Communicate the design using a set of modelling and graphic techniques
