Aims and objectives

This unit provides students with an understanding of some of the latest innovative supply chain technologies and tools that enable change management and increase efficiency of operations in the supply chain sector. Students are required to leverage their learning to assess the potential impact, opportunities and threats for adopting such technologies as part of business case project.
 
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to: 

1. Demonstrate a critical understanding of innovative supply chain technologies both in theory and in practice.

2. Critically analyse and evaluate the role of technology in current and future supply chains.

3. Apply coherent and advanced knowledge of innovative supply chain techniques to organisational and business problems and identify possible opportunities.

4. Work collaboratively with a diverse range of people and act as a member and a leader of a team.
 
5. Apply knowledge of research principles and methods to plan and execute a piece of research.
