Combine traditional journalistic skills with online publishing, multimedia production and the skills required for interacting with audiences, social networking and building online communities. Publish and broadcast work in online, television, radio and print outlets.

The Bachelor of Media and Communication (Professional) is designed to prepare you for a variety of roles in the dynamic and ever-changing industries associated with media and communication.

The degree takes a strategic approach to media and communication and links theoretical and practical knowledge and skills needed to operate effectively in diverse settings within the industry.

All our bachelor degrees include a guaranteed Work Integrated Learning opportunity, which could be a placement, internship or industry-linked project. This Professional Degree includes a mandatory 12-month paid work placement. You'll benefit from Swinburne’s unique industry partnerships, gain invaluable full-time work experience and earn credit towards your degree. In your final year, you'll also have the opportunity to apply your learning in a professionally focused, industry-linked project relevant to your major study area.
