Become an invaluable member of the healthcare industry and deliver patient care and transport with Swinburne’s Diploma of Paramedical Science.
 
The Diploma of Paramedical Science qualifies you to work as an Ambulance Transport Attendant (ATA) in some state ambulance authorities, the private and non-emergency patient transport sectors. This course will also prepare you to work in pre-hospital and out-of-hospital care.
 
Develop a strong mix of clinical skills, theoretical knowledge and the mental tools required to safely manage complex environments.
 
Gain real industry experience with 160 hours of clinical placement through our industry partner Health Select. These supervised placements build your confidence, enabling you to apply your new skills and knowledge to real-life situations and preparing you for work as an ATA.
 
Upon completion, you will be qualified to pursue a career as an Ambulance Transport Attendant (ATA), Patient Transport Officer (PTO) or an Ambulance Community Officer (ACO) with Ambulance Victoria (in rural areas).
