Frequently asked questions
Register for our Study Expo if you’re interested in a course within the following study levels:
Undergraduate (UG) courses include bachelor degrees, double degrees and associate degrees, and they can either send you off into the world of work or prepare you for further study.
Postgraduate (PG) courses – graduate certificates, graduate diplomas, master degrees, and doctoral degrees – are generally for those who have completed undergraduate study. In some cases, postgrad study can be undertaken by students with significant industry experience in lieu of undergraduate study.
UniLink diplomas serve as a ‘link’ course between you and undergraduate study. These courses are a great choice if you didn’t complete high school in Australia or didn’t get the ATAR needed for your preferred bachelor degree.
TAFE courses are often skills-based – like plumbing, allied health and early childhood education – and apply to specific industries. These courses can come in the form of apprenticeships, traineeships, certificates and diplomas.
We also offer alternative admission routes such as our Foundation Program and Fee-Free UniReady, which you can learn more about at the expo.
Whether you’re ready to apply or have just begun researching study options, the Study Expo is an excellent opportunity to drop into our Hawthorn campus and get all the info you need to make an informed decision. It’s easy, quick, accessible, and everyone’s welcome.
You can come to the Study Expo with as little or as much supporting info as you’d like (i.e. proof of citizenship and academic transcripts if applicable). If you’re looking to start applying at Swinburne on the night, you can still commence that without supporting documentation.
Yes – our international team will be there. They can answer all your questions about Swinburne entry requirements, switching universities, graduate outcomes, accommodation and more.
With Glenferrie train station at the heart of our Hawthorn campus, making your way here couldn’t be easier – check out our website for the best routes. If you plan on driving, there’s plenty of ticketed parking on and off-campus (go to maps).
