Thesis C - Empirical Study
Overview
Students will complete the empirical component of their research project and present this work in the form of an APA-style journal article. Working with an academic supervisor and other students, they will continue to develop skills required to complete their project. Academic supervisors will provide advice and feedback on the progress and conduct of each student's project as they work towards presenting the outcome of their project. The unit will also explore fundamental and emerging issues in contemporary research.

Unit learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
- Collect and/or access, manage, and report human research data in an ethical manner
- Apply appropriate analysis methods to empirical data to answer a psychological question
- Interpret findings of empirical research with respect to a body of psychological knowledge or theory or applications
- Communicate effectively about the conduct and outcomes of research in different discipline-appropriate styles and modes
