Overview

This unit enables students to work with their supervisors to design and execute a project that may be a step towards a protocol paper or pilot for their broader Master thesis and iPhD. It should take the form of an academic journal article to be submitted to an appropriate, nominated journal in their field.

Content

  • Students will work with their supervisor to design and execute a small research project in the form of an academic publication (e.g., journal article) that supports their Masters thesis.
  • The publication will follow the format and length of the chosen venue (e.g., journal guidelines)
  • The research project will normally draw on existing data or take the form of (for example) a pilot study report or protocol paper.
