Music Video Production
Overview
This unit introduces students to the principles of working to a client’s brief through the production of a Music Video. Students will collaborate in the development and production process to create a music video production. Upon completion they will have further developed a specialisation in the areas of concept development, producing, directing, art direction, cinematography and editing.

50 cp in:
BH-FTV2 Bachelor of Film and Television (Honours)
Assumed Knowledge
Scriptwriting and Directing skills; Cinematography and Lighting skills, Post-Production and Editing

Unit learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
- Develop a coherent concept through ideation, mood board and storyboard, according to standard industry practice
- Create a music video treatment that addresses and satisfies the requirements of a client brief
- Produce, direct, shoot and edit a music video following collaborative production approaches through head of department roles and responsibilities
- Apply legal and safe industry filmmaking techniques and processes during a production
- Evaluate the production process as a team and critically reflect on individual roles and responsibilities
