Overview

This unit introduces students to the rapidly evolving world of financial technologies. Students will explore the core concepts and principles of the FinTech industry, focusing on the transformative impact new technologies have on established financial services. Students will delve into key areas including digital payments, open banking, cryptocurrencies, peer-to-peer lending, digital insurance, digital wealth management and RegTech. Students will also explore how FinTech impacts sustainability, ethics and financial inclusion. This unit helps students develop critical insights by highlighting current trends and future directions. It equips them with the knowledge and skills to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven digital economy.
