This unit is designed to help teachers/leaders uncover internal narratives they hold about themselves and others which govern how we behave with others, inspect the impact these have on their leadership approach/interactions with others, and learn how to manage their own behaviours to have the maximum positive impact

Unit learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:

  • Critically reflect on understandings of self as leader within education settings.
  • Evaluate approaches and theories designed to strengthen leadership of self in education contexts
  • Create a personal plan designed to strengthen leadership of self within education contexts informed by theories and context
