Assessing Learning and Competency in Vocational Education

Overview

This unit equips VET educators (established and emergining) with a deep understanding of assessment principles and practices specific to vocational education. It explores the design and implementation of competency-based assessments aligned with training packages and workplace learning. Through critical reflection and practical application, educators will develop the skills to create inclusive, valid, and reliable assessments that meet regulatory and industry standards. The unit fosters professional growth and supports educators in evidencing their capability to assess student learning and contribute to quality assurance in VET.
