Tendering, Cost Planning and Project Performance
Overview
This unit aims to develop students’ capability to manage construction tendering, scheduling, budgeting, and performance control. Students will prepare and evaluate tenders, develop integrated schedules and budgets, monitor and assess project performance, and communicate cost and progress information effectively using digital tools to support informed decision‑making and successful project delivery

Unit learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
- Explain the principles of construction tendering and systematically evaluate contractor proposals using structured tender appraisal criteria (A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, K5, K6, S1, S2, S4)
- Develop integrated project schedules and cost plans using software tools (A1, A2, A3, A4)
- Apply project monitoring and reporting systems to assess project progress
- Critically evaluate project performance against established project objectives, schedules, and budgets
- Communicate project cost and performance information effectively with stakeholders using digital tools and reporting techniques
