Overview

This unit aims to develop students’ capability to communicate ideas persuasively and professionally through presentations and storytelling in organisational contexts. Students will learn how to analyse audiences, structure compelling messages, design effective visual and verbal communication, and deliver persuasive presentations that communicate proposals, recommendations, and strategic ideas in workplace settings. The unit emphasises credibility, clarity, audience alignment, and persuasive impact in professional communication settings.

Unit learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:

  1. Determine the role of strategic communication and storytelling as a professional capability within organisational contexts
  2. Analyse audiences, stakeholders, and communication objectives to design appropriate presentation and storytelling strategies
  3. Work effectively within a team to create professional presentations using effective verbal, visual, and non-verbal communication techniques
