The UniReady Program is a fee-free, government-funded pre-university enabling course designed to equip domestic students from diverse backgrounds with the knowledge, skills and confidence required to enter an undergraduate degree.

This course will give you all the skills you need to enter university, with flexible study on-campus and online, supportive classes and no ATAR or prerequisites to apply. And as a fee-free course, it’s ideal for those looking for alternative pathways to a university degree.

Admissions

Successful completion of an Australian Year 11 or equivalent studies.

To be eligible for this course, you must be:

  • 17 years or older
  • an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident
  • living in Victoria for the duration of the course.

Holders of Humanitarian and Pacific Engagement Visas are also eligible to apply.

A prerequisite for many courses, the Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic) can now be done at our Hawthorn campus.

How do I pay my fees?

The UniReady Program is a fee-free, government-funded course, meaning you won't be required to pay tuition fees throughout the duration of the program. Please read the Commonwealth Supported Place booklet.

International students need to pay tuition fees up-front by the relevant due date. You can find the due dates on your Statement of Account.

To pay your fees:

  • log in to My Finances
  • check your Australian bank account details are correct 
  • check your Statement of Account to see how much you owe 
  • pay using your preferred payment method.

Student services and amenities fee

This funding serves to improve the student experience at Swinburne. You may use many or just some of the services and amenities that the fee provides.

The student services and amenities fee has been waived for this course, meaning you’ll still get access to the same great Swinburne experience and support services without having to pay.
