Overview

This unit is designed to illustrate the scope of the Motion Design discipline and group dynamics in real-world contexts. It enhances collaborative and project management skills for Motion Design. Students develop professional level design outcomes in response to a Motion Design project brief and are required to work across a range of technologies, applying commercial design tools, processes and methods.

Learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:

  • Apply appropriate methods and processes to develop a Motion Design project in response to a professional design brief
  • Synthesise a range of technologies, design tools and techniques to develop professional level Motion Design outcomes
  • Effectively communicate, collaborate and project manage as part of a creative team
  • Critically evaluate outcomes of the project through concise and coherent documentation, design outcomes, and presentations
  • Research and illustrate professional competencies in the field of Motion Design, by composing a coherent body of research and project outcomes that can be used for professional engagement
