Learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:

  • Measure quantities of construction works in buildings and infrastructure project
  • Prepare bill of quantities using standard methods of measurement for construction works
  • Prepare cost estimates in construction projects using relevant standards, methods and procedures.
  • Prepare and evaluate cost plans for construction projects.
  • Advise clients and stakeholders on project cost plans, estimates and alternatives.
  • Conduct price analysis for tendering and valuation of construction works.
