Learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:

  • Identify, associate, and utilise Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools and software in the management of building projects
  • Create, interpret, and integrate 3D BIM models for building construction
  • Use and/ or construct nD BIM frameworks/ systems for various construction management agenda in building projects
  • Apply relevant BIM standards, methods, procedures and best practices for construction management of building projects
  • Comprehend and integrate construction management activities in collaborative BIM environment
  • Develop and appraise the adoption and implementation of BIM and digital technologies for the construction management in building projects
  • Describe, designate and demonstrate the roles and responsibilities of using digital technologies (including BIM) in building construction projects.
