Learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:

  • Explain the environmental, legal and human factors that affect flying operations at the Commercial Pilot Level under the Visual Flight Rules (VFR) and Instrument Flight Rules (IFR)
  • Safely and accurately apply theoretical knowledge to flying operations at the Commercial Pilot Level under the VFR and IFR and
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the unit content sufficient to pass the CASA Commercial Pilot Licence (Aeroplane) Theory Examinations for Navigation, Operations, Performance & Planning and Flight Rules & Air Law
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the unit content sufficient to pass the CASA Instrument Rating (IREX) Examination
