On-campus unit delivery combines face-to-face and digital learning. For Online unit delivery, learning is conducted exclusively online.
Aims and objectives
Unit Learning Outcomes: Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
1. Critically examine contemporary educational practices and the curriculum in the global context.
2. Justify and deepen an understanding of societal and professional expectations of education in an era of rapid change.
3. Analyse the role of emerging technologies and their transformative impacts on the nature of learning
4. Categorise and critically evaluate a range of multimedia resources, including transformative technologies and use them to produce authentic learning experiences.
5. Critically apply ICT to facilitate learning and provide opportunities for engagement in self-regulating and cooperative activities.
6. Synthesise viewpoints to reflect on the social and ethical issues associated with responsible, safe and legal use of learning technologies
