Aims and objectives
1. Develop and evaluate engaging Science lesson plans and / or unit outlines, in accordance with relevant National, State and / or Territory curriculum documents that adhere to inclusive and safe practice.
2. Analyze pedagogical approaches in teaching and learning of Science in the Primary classroom including the teaching of Science as part of STEM.
3. Develop plans of lessons / units of work that reflect relevant current curriculum documentation and contemporary pedagogical approaches including the use of Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Information Communication Technology (ICT).
4. Analyze a range of assessment strategies and record keeping instruments within Science in terms of its purpose, benefits, limitations and implementation constraints.
5. Evaluate appropriate methods to maintain safe and challenging learning environments within Science classrooms.
