Aims and objectives

The aim of this unit is to provide a specialised exposure on systems, procedures and practices for managing safety and quality in a range of site operations of construction and infrastructure management projects.
 
Unit Learning Outcomes (ULO)
On successful completion of this unit students will be able to:
 
1 Describe, formulate and employ advanced quality management practices, procedures, standard and systems in construction projects
2 Determine, develop, and apply relevant workplace health and safety management practices, and systems in construction site operations
3 Prepare, administer, review and recommend integrated plans and procedures for workplace health and safety as well as quality management in construction projects
4 Interpret, develop and use suitable communication and documentation for managing safety and quality in a range of site operations of construction and infrastructure management projects
