Aims and objectives

This unit provides students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in an industry setting while completing their studies. During the internship students will apply the knowledge that they developed during their studies to a wide range of organisational projects, gain the experience of working in diverse organisational contexts and cultures and, produce a professional report for their Internship host. Project activities typically include: the development of information systems strategies for business; systems analysis and design, research and development, business analysis and project management activities.
 
Students who successfully complete this unit, will be able to:
 
1. Apply coherent and advanced knowledge business information systems analysis, including business analysis and project management in diverse contexts and applications using critical thinking.
 
2. Communicate proficiently in professional practice to a variety of audiences.
 
3. Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, ethical conduct, professional accountability and awareness of professional practices in a global and sustainable context.
 
4. Reflect on and take responsibility for their own learning and self-management processes and review their own performance as a means of managing continuing professional development and lifelong learning.
