Aims and objectives
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
1. Examine the broader social, theoretical and political contexts in which assessment practices reside.
2. Create a range of assessment plans using a variety of strategies for different discipline areas that adhere to the general principles of assessment and reporting.
3. Compare a range of assessment strategies in terms of their purpose, benefits, limitations and implementation constraints.
4. Apply assessment moderation that supports consistent and comparable judgements of student learning.
5. Evaluate principles and strategies for accurate record keeping and reporting on student achievement.
6. Interpret and use assessment data to provide effective feedback and plan targeted teaching activities that improves student outcomes.
