Yonsei University - UIC is a highly competitive destination with limited places. As such, please put careful consideration into choosing your second and third preference as back-up options.
Students applying to Yonsei University need to meet the following requirements:
- Completed at least 1 year of study at Swinburne (in their current degree) at the time of application;
- Have a minimum 2.5 GPA
Please note that no course is guaranteed and they can be highly competitive. It is recommended that students applying to Yonsei University - UIC are flexible with their chosen units.
Courses available for exchange students
The course list for each term is not finalised until 1.5 months before each term begins so please refer to past UIC course lists for reference.
Swinburne students (as a UIC exchange student), get priority access to register for UIC courses once the list is released.
After this priority period, you can also register for other UIC courses (without priority), Study Abroad courses (including Korean language), and regular courses from other departments (excluding Computer Science and Business courses).

Accommodation
Students interested in on-campus housing are encouraged to submit a separate online housing application as soon as it opens. The provision of on-campus housing is NOT guaranteed due to limited spaces and rooms will be reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. Visit the accommodation page for more information.
Medical Insurance
Please note that all international students in Korea will automatically be enrolled in the Korea National Health Insurance upon receiving their alien registration number after arriving in Korea. The estimated cost forthis insurance is around 50-60 USD per month.
