Overview

Interested in exploring the city of Budapest? Join our partner university, ESSCA School of Management, for two weeks at their campus located there, spanning the scenic river Danube. Budapest is home to a huge array of cafes, markets and night life, as well as historic baths and thermal springs.

This short-term exchange program will allow you to use your Summer break productively by earning credit for one full unit in only two short weeks, whilst you gain invaluable skills and knowledge within the Business world!

All classes are taught in English and you will spend your time learning and immersing yourself within the beautiful city of Budapest, as part of a very internationally active program with students from all over the world.

  • International Marketing
  • Crisis Management
     
or Option 2:
  • Corporate Social Responsability
  • Humanistic Management

Eligibility criteria

To apply for this program, students must:

  • be enrolled into an Undergraduate degree
  • meet the overseas exchange program eligibility requirements
  • meet any pre-requisites listed by the host institution and for the courses you choose
     

Academic credit

Each course programme (pairings) are worth 7.5 ECTS each. Therefore, completion of the program will earn you 7.5 ECTS.

You are able to take this program as credit for one of your elective units. Alternatively, you may be able to use core units for this program, subject to approval from your Course Director.

Credit equivalence

7.5 ECTS = 12.5 CP (1 unit) at Swinburne.

Costs

Program cost: €1300 (approx. $2160 AUD)

Tuition fees to the host university are waived for students completing a short-term exchange program at one of our partner universities. You will continue to pay your regular tuition fees to Swinburne while you are on the program.

This program cost is paid to the host institution and may include the following:

  • Accommodation
  • A welcome snack
  • Company and cultural visits
  • Course materials

The host university will be able to provide further information upon application.

Note: There may be other program costs incurred outside of tuition fees, including living expenses, airfares, and visas (if applicable).

Funding

Funding your overseas journey may be easier than you think

Swinburne Abroad Travel Grants

This program has A$1,000 Swinburne Abroad Travel Grants available.

This grant can help offset travel and living expenses for your overseas internship and are available to both Domestic and International UG or PG students. Students can apply for a grant as part of the application process.

OS-HELP Loan

Eligible Australian students can also apply for an Australian Government OS-HELP Loan of up to A$7,921 (depending on your program destination) to help cover costs associated with your overseas program.

Students must first apply to Swinburne Abroad following the short-term exchange application process. Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis.
