Industrial Networking and Cloud Computing
Overview
This unit of study aims to introduce Industrial Internet of Things and the fundamentals of industrial networks and cloud computing. Students will learn how to correctly set up an industrial network. This unit also will enable the student to set up a cloud service for a cyber-physical system.

Learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
- Understand and classify wired and wireless communication technologies, their properties and typical industrial applications
- Apply network topologies, protocols and troubleshoot defined network problems.
- Analyze and compare Service-oriented Architecture based Middleware
- Set up and Configure a secure industrial network for cyber-physical systems.
- Apply and demonstrate the concepts of industrial networking in an engineering application.
