Medibank Next_Gen Scholarships 2025

Medibank works to create Better Health for Better Lives by providing the best health and wellbeing experience for people across Australia.

Through the Medibank Next_Gen Scholarships, Medibank will support international students who are innovative, driven, globally minded, and motivated by a desire to create change and solve real world problems.

Medibank Next_Gen Scholarships are open to international students in their second year or above of an undergraduate degree, or enrolled in a master’s degree, who can demonstrate community involvement and/or leadership experience.

Successful applicants will also be invited for an Industry Immersion session at Medibank Head Office, which will include a guided tour of the building, insights into Medibank’s ways of working, company values and purpose and invited to take part in a focus group to inform how we develop our services to students. 

These scholarships are valued at $10,000 for one year only.

Any undergraduate degree or master’s degree offered by Swinburne University of Technology.

To be eligible for the MediBank Nex_Gen Scholarship, applicants must:

1. Meet the following criteria:
   • be an International student
     
     Students receiving a Swinburne International Scholarship are welcome to apply
2. Meet the following enrolment criteria​​​​:
   • be an undergraduate student in second year or above, or a master's student at Swinburne in Semester 2, 2025.
   • enrolled full-time in an eligible course (see courses eligible in section above)
   • studying on-campus
3. Submit a written response answering the following two questions:
   • As an international student, what does health and well-being mean to you personally?
   • How do you think Medibank can best support international students in maintaining their health and well-being during their time in Australia?
4. Submit a personal statement of up to 500 words, or a 2 minute video, addressing:
   • your interest and commitment to study
   • your involvement with university life, community participation and/or leadership experience
   • how Medibank’s values of ‘Customer obsessed’, ‘Show Heart’, ‘Brilliance Together’, and ‘Break Boundaries’ align to your personal values.
     
     Upload your video to cloud based storage (google drive/one drive/drop box) and provide the link in a MS Word or PDF document. Ensure the video is downloadable by anyone and not access restricted.
      
5. Provide supporting evidence outlining any university and/or community participation, extra-curricular activities, service to the community, sporting participation and/or leadership experience.

These scholarships are valued at $10,000 for one year only, paid bi-annually.
