The Omnicom Media Group scholarship is a unique opportunity for a data driven 2nd or 3rd year student in business. Omnicom Media Group (OMG) is world leading media agency and are seeking to support a Swinburne student who is interested in the very interesting business side of media. Single or double Business undergraduate course offered by Swinburne University of Technology


Eligibility / selection criteria

To be eligible for the Omnicom Scholarship, applicants must:

  1. Meet the following criteria:
    • Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian Permanent Resident with Humanitarian visa or New Zealand citizen
  2. Meet the following enrolment criteria:
    • be a continuing (second or third year) Swinburne student in Semester 1, 2021
    • enrolled in an eligible course (see courses eligible in section above)
    • have completed at least 100 credit points
  3. Have experienced one or more of the below points, which may have hindered access to education:
    • Disability or ongoing medical condition
    • Financial hardship 
    • Evidence of primary carer responsibilities 
    • Personal hardship
    • Refugee background 
    • English as a second language
    • Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
    • Located in regional, rural or remote area 
    • First in family to attend university
  4. Submit a personal statement (500 words) addressing the above (#3) and
    • any leadership qualities and experience in community participation
    • how this scholarship will benefit you
    • career aspirations and reasons for choosing your course

Value

The scholarship is valued at $3000 for one year only. The successful recipient may also be given the opportunity of work placement at Omnicom Media Group.


How to apply

Applicants should complete an online application form and submit with all supporting documentation by 28 March 2021. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
