Sir Reginald Ansett Scholarship for Business 2026

Sir Reginald Ansett gained qualifications as a knitting-machine mechanic at Swinburne (then Swinburne Technical College) in the early 1920s.

This scholarship will support a student commencing a full time undergraduate Business degree by helping ease some of their financial burden.

This scholarship is valued at up to $22,500 with $7,500 paid annually for up to three years.


Courses eligible

Single or double degree undergraduate Business course offered by Swinburne University of Technology.


Eligibility / selection criteria

To be eligible for the Sir Reginald Ansett Scholarship - Business, applicants must:

  1. Meet the following criteria:
    • an Australian citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Permanent Resident with Humanitarian Visa
  2. Meet the following enrolment criteria:
    • be a commencing first year Swinburne student in Semester 1, 2026
    • enrolled full-time in an eligible course (see courses eligible in section above)
    • studying on campus
  3. Provide ATAR certificate or academic transcript of previous study
     
  4. Provide a personal statement (500 words) demonstrating a passion for a career in your chosen field including:
    • self-introduction
    • summary of what you are studying
    • career aspirations
    • how this scholarship will make a difference in your life
  5. Provide evidence of educational disadvantage, which may fall under the categories listed below. To assist you, we’ve included a link to the VTAC website for further guidance on preparing your evidence.

    Personal information and location
    Financial hardship
    Living with a disability or medical condition
    Difficult family and life circumstances

  6. Provide a written reference from a teacher, community leader, or employer. Note: referees cannot be a family member or friend.

Value

This scholarship is valued at $7,500 per year, for up to three years, paid bi-annually.

There are 2 scholarships available to be awarded.
