The scholarship has been established to encourage indigenous students to undertake any undergraduate studies at Swinburne University.

Undergraduate Courses.


Eligibility / selection criteria

Applicants must:

  • be an Australian citizen and recognised as an indigenous Australian
  • be a commencing student studying full-time at Swinburne in an undergraduate degree in the year the scholarship is awarded.
  • provide evidence of:
    • achieved ATAR of 60
    • successful completion of VCE or equivalent, or
    • post secondary study
  • provide a written statement of 500 words outlining career aspirations. Specifically, please comment on the following:
    • how your cultural background or culture has influenced you, or may benefit your studies;
    • why you’ve chosen your particular area of study;
    • your career aspirations; and
    • how this scholarship will support you in your studies     
  • for Film and TV courses, the following alternative entry requirements apply:
    • a) submit a portfolio of creative work
      b) provide academic transcript of previous studies.

Value

The scholarship is valued at $7,500 per year for the normal duration of the course, for a maximum period of up to five years.
