Contemporary approaches to university teaching
Adjunct Associate Professor Kym Fraser's Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) called ‘Contemporary approaches to university teaching’ has been massively successful since its launch in January 2018. In 2019 the MOOC is being translated into Spanish, Mandarin (Putonghua), and Portuguese.
The MOOC is a free course which provides key introductory learning and teaching concepts and strategies to Higher Education teachers who are at the start of their teaching career.
It's suitable for academics, faculty, research students, librarians, IT staff and a host of other roles which have a university teaching component.
The self-paced course is comprised of 11 expert-developed modules (2-hour modules) and several speciality modules and resources.
The MOOC runs from the end of January through until late July and the beginning of July until December every semester.
Participants can enrol in the course anytime throughout the semester, ideally enrolling by orientation week.
