The Bachelor of Business Administration is a broad business degree taught in a supportive environment. It covers essential areas of business, including accounting, business information systems, marketing, economics, event and organisation management, and law.
During the first year of the course, additional academic literacy units help students develop the skills and capabilities required to succeed in their studies. The course has been developed in conjunction with industry experts to ensure students learn the most up-to-date and relevant skills and techniques used in business. Students complete compulsory pre-internship and internship units designed to provide them with an appreciation of the professional workplace and employability skills required for a range of industries.

International students in Australia who hold student visas are required to study full-time and on campus. Courses that are taught entirely online are only available to international students studying outside Australia or those in Australia who are not on a student visa. Online courses are not available to international students in Australia who hold a student visa.

Course structure
Successful completion of the Bachelor of Business Administration [2016] requires students to complete units of study to the value of 300 credit points. All units of study are valued at 12.5 credit points unless otherwise stated.

Choose from a combination of the following course components to complete 50 credit points of other study. Students may also select elective units (12.5 credit points each).
- Full-time study: 100 credit points/eight standard units of study per year
- Part-time study: 50 credit points/four standard units of study per year
- One credit point is equivalent to one hour of study per week per semester (including contact hours and private study)

Course learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:
- Define and integrate theoretical principles applicable to business administration and apply those principles in a range of practices.
- Systematically review and evaluate research from a variety of sources in order to make informed judgements on options for innovatively and practically solving a range of problems that arise in business contexts.
- Formulate creative solutions that are fit for purpose and demonstrate cognisance of the impact of business decisions on the organisation and its stakeholders.
- Coherently articulate a line of reasoning demonstrating cultural sensitivity and apply a framework to analyse and offer solutions to ethical dilemmas.
- Communicate a range of business arguments by evaluating and implementing alternative communication strategies as appropriate to the audience.
- Build on and continuously develop the intellectual independence to be critical and reflective learners, cognisant of emerging technologies.
- Work collaboratively in diverse groups.
