Swinburne Financial Planning Association Member Scholarship
This scholarship provides a course tuition fee discount for students who are current members of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) who are studying a postgraduate course in Financial Planning delivered face-to-face at the Hawthorn campus or via online study with Swinburne Online. This scholarship also provides a unit tuition fee discount for students studying selected stand-alone bridging units.

Course description
This course also provides a pathway for further specialised learning for associate membership to CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), and Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) programs.
After undertaking this course students can purse their careers in accounting, taxation, financial planning, investment, banking, risk management and insurance fields.
International students in Australia who hold student visas are required to study full-time and on campus. Courses that are taught entirely online are only available to international students studying outside Australia or those in Australia who are not on a student visa. Online courses are not available to international students in Australia who hold a student visa.

Maximum Academic Credit
The maximum level of credit that can be granted for the Master of Professional Accounting/Master of Financial Planning is 100 credit points (normally eight units)

Professional recognition
The Master of Professional Accounting/Master of Financial Planning is professionally accredited through CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). It is also accredited through the Financial Planning Education Council (FPEC) on behalf of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA), and approved by the Financial Advisers Standards and Ethics Authority (FASEA).

English language requirements
- IELTS (Academic Module): Overall 6.5 with no individual band below 6.0
- Swinburne English Language Centre: EAP 5 advanced level with overall 70% & all skills 65% or above
- TOEFL iBT: 79 (Reading no less than 18, writing no less than 20)
