Our double Master program combines the strong business and management skills from the Executive MBA with the entrepreneurial mindset that underpins innovation and disruption synonymous with our Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
The 16 units that comprise the double degree will show you the expertise and experiential learning on offer in Swinburne's Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship – the first dedicated entrepreneurship school in the nation.
Our industry partners ensure that both degrees reflect the best, contemporary business practice. You will explore entrepreneurs' successes, inspiring and diverse stories, resilience in the face of failure and authentic challenges. The partners also enrich learning with site visits, networking opportunities and mentoring of applied projects.

Course description
This Master of Business Administration (Executive)/Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MEI) course focuses on leadership and change, strategic thinking, innovation and entrepreneurship, finance and ethical practices and social responsibility to equip graduates for career satisfaction and success. The course aims to educate and develop entrepreneurial leaders and managers, providing them with the specialist skills needed to lead and manage the process of innovation, business startups, high growth and rapid change. This course will allow students to transition to the C-suite, senior managerial positions or to manage a startup.
International students in Australia who hold student visas are required to study full-time and on campus. Courses that are taught entirely online are only available to international students studying outside Australia or those in Australia who are not on a student visa. Online courses are not available to international students in Australia who hold a student visa.
Course structure
To qualify for the award of Master of Business Administration (Executive)/Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, students must complete sixteen (16) units (200 credit points) comprising:
- Thirteen (13) core units of study (162.5 credit points)
- Three (3) electives (37.5 credit points)
Maximum Academic Credit
The maximum credit for the Master of Business Administration (Executive)/Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation is 100 credit points (normally eight units)

For international applicants: Completion of the Masters Qualifying Program Plus a minimum of three years equivalent full-time relevant managerial experience* or
successful completion of the Graduate Certificate of Business Administration (Executive) **
* Relevant professional/managerial experience and evidence of academic capability will be determined by the Faculty PVC (or delegate) with reference to Faculty determined guiding principles. Applicants will be required to submit a curriculum vitae (CV) with their application. Documents substantiating relevant experience are required, clearly detailing roles and duration, as well as evidence of formal and non-formal learning. Where relevant experience is used for the basis of admission, no further recognition for prior learning/credit can be granted on that basis.
**Students entering under this admission requirement will be given full credit for the units completed.
English language requirements
Satisfactory completion of one of the following:
- Swinburne’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 Advanced level) with overall 70%, all skills 65%
- minimum IELTS overall band of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0
- TOEFL iBT (internet-based) minimum score of 79 with a reading band no less than 18 and writing band no less than 20
- Pearson (PTE) minimum score of 58 (no communicative skills less than 50)
- any other equivalent assessment of English language proficiency.
