In the Graduate Diploma of Cybersecurity Management - Online, you’ll deepen your understanding of computer network security and learn to prevent cyber-attacks.
This course allows students to identify, demonstrate, diagnose and fix security risks in software systems such as web applications, internet-based services and desktop applications.
It will build on a student’s STEM qualifications or relevant industry experience by developing information security-related skills and knowledge in system security, penetration testing, incident response, security management, reverse engineering and ethical hacking.
The Master of Cybersecurity suite includes a nested Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma of Cybersecurity.

The Graduate Diploma of Cybersecurity Management is designed as a contemporary course that introduces concepts relating to hacking behaviour, social engineering and the human factors. The operational management combined with cybersecurity framework provides a basis for understanding how law, policy and ethics govern this space. The focus then shifts to the risks associated breaches, mitigation, the crime and management of a crisis. The course focuses on the development of knowledge required for managing cybersecurity teams, processes and the governance that will support business needs. This course is designed for individuals wanting to support cyber security management.
Course structure
To qualify for the award of Graduate Diploma of Cybersecurity Management students must complete 100 credit points comprising of:
- Eight (8) core units of study (100 credit points)

2. Apply knowledge to the interrelated social, technical, legal and ethical issues involved in the exploitation of computer technology
3. Critically review and evaluate the current literature on emerging topics within cybersecurity management and apply knowledge, research principles and methods to plan and execute a piece of independent research in cybersecurity management
4. Apply knowledge and skills to demonstrate autonomy, expert judgement, adaptability, and responsibility as a practitioner or learner in the cybersecurity area
5. Communicate proficiency in professional practice to a variety of audiences, function as an effective member or leader of a diverse team
