Course description
Landscape design is a broad discipline which involves working creatively with plants and outdoor spaces. This course combines visual and creative skills with practical and technical aspects of landscape, permaculture, business and planting design. This course is designed for people who are looking for a career as a landscape designer or individuals who are involved in horticulture or landscape businesses and wish to upgrade their professional skills and knowledge.
Course structure
The course involves 12 units of study (four core and eight elective units). Most units involve a combination of classes and online collaborate sessions. Some weekend classes and/or field trips are scheduled for certain units.

A graduate may seek a career in landscape design, technical, supervisory or managerial operations in the field of domestic, private or commercial horticulture/landscape/sustainability projects.

Graduates should have the skills to be able to prepare landscape design plans, provide advice to clients regarding plant selection and requirements, and understand the importance of sustainable practices and principles related to the landscape design area.

A VET Student Loan is available for this course – allowing you to defer part of your fees if you're eligible.
The maximum VET Student Loan amount for this course is $16,221. You must start repaying this loan once you earn above the compulsory repayment threshold.
